Family and friends are hosting the 10th Annual John J. Fiore Memorial Golf Tournament on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 1:00pm at Willowbrook Golf Course in Lockport, NY.
On February 12, 2009, John and 49 others passed away on Flight 3407 in Clarence, New York. He dedicated his life to his family and his country, spending 30 years serving our country in both the United States Marine Corps and the United States Air Force. He fought for our freedom in Vietnam, Desert Storm and had 2 tours of duty in the Iraqi War. John retired from active duty in 2006 and was due to retire from his civilian career at Washington Mills in 2011. Our hero continues to be sorely missed.
Proceeds from the tournament will again go to The Ronald McDonald House of Buffalo. We have been able to raise $178,500 in our first nine years, including $25,000 in 2018. In addition, we were able to raise $4,700 for three local families in need. That brings our nine year grand total to $193,800. The goal of The Ronald McDonald House is to make a difference in the lives of children and their families during times of illness.
