We are in need of these items and would appreciate anything that could be provided. The Charles Court Franklin Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund is underway and is actively taking contributions to….achieve our next goal…$100,000! We now sit at roughly $55,000 in endowed funds, which is amazing!

Please join us for the 11th Annual Court Franklin Memorial Golf Tournament & Fundraiser. The tournament will be held on Saturday, November 4th at the Twin Rivers Golf Course in Waco, Texas ( www.twinriversgolfclubwaco.com ). Please arrive early to register, meet up with your group and warm up. Registration starts at 7:00a.m. This will be an 8am shotgun start. Breakfast will be served. Immediately following the round we will move our event to The Hippodrome downtown (prizes given out at The Hippodrome) where the owners have agreed to waive the facility fee and donate 15% of sales back to the fund if we have a minimum of 50 people eat lunch. We need numbers to show up, even if you don’t plan on golfing in the morning! The kitchen and bar will be open for lunch and drinks, college football will be playing on the movie theater screen and we’ll have the silent auctions going on as well.

This is an open tournament for those who were friends of Court, Baylor students and alumni, family, friends and anyone who would like to participate in this great cause. It’s open to everyone! There will be a longest drive, longest putt and closest to the pin competition in addition to the low scoring team competition. Prizes for all winners! We will try to have silent auction items again this year.

Fees are $125 per entrant. We will pair everyone up in groups that have not previously provided their own groupings. $5 per mulligan or 5 for $20 will be offered as well. There is a cap of 5 mulligans per team. We will accept cash or checks. Please make all checks payable to Cody Messerall. There is a strict no pay no play rule that will be enforced. You must be settled up prior to being allowed to tee off. Entry fee will include range balls, green and cart fee and a breakfast prior to the start of your round. Mulligan and entry fee payment should be made to Cody Messerall if writing a check.

We will continue discounted fees for active students. $90 per student or $300 per student foursome if you get your own team together.

The format will be a classic scramble. As of now I’m not sure which tees we will play from (likely clue). Ladies can hit from the front tees if they choose to.

Additionally, if you’d like to contribute but won’t be able to attend feel free to visit the dedicated link via Baylor University to donate to Court’s scholarship ( https://www.baylor.edu/give/index.php?id=49837&a=3&f=437SFMG ). Funds donated here are allocated directly to the scholarship and are eligible for a deduction on your tax return. Alternatively, you can send cash or checks to my attention, either made payable to Baylor and myself and I will ensure they get to our contact person in University Development.
