The Carroll Technology Council is an independant nonprofit and has provided technology leadership, education and resources to the community since 2001. Our focus has been on developing technology expertise and potential business opportunities for members, building relationships between member organizations, and delivering new programs that benefit the county as a whole. The Tech Council oversees the Carroll Broadband Advisory Board and the Carroll Innovation & Technology Workgroup which is comprised of businesses and organizations that broaden the technology impact through coordinated community partnerships.
TechKids & TechWorks programs have distributed over 1,800 computers to Carroll County students, individuals, and nonprofits. The CTC and its members are supportive of all technology-related
activities in the community including technology conferences (TechStorm) and community events (Westminster TechStroll), robotics, 90/90 Computers for the Community, STEM Educational
Programs, the Scott Adelman Memorial Scholarship and our Dell Laptop Give Away (a Kahlert Foundation Initiative).
It is our vision that the Tech Council will lead the way for Carroll County to be recognized as a technically advanced community with innovative businesses and a tech-savvy citizenry. The CTC energizes and engages both business and community leaders to leverage the latest technology to positively impact Carroll County.
