More Event Information
We are planning to take this year’s Men’s Advance to a whole new level of practical. The theme involves a thorough look into Hebrews 12:1–2 and is entitled “WIN: God expects you to know your race and win it. Here’s how.” Many men have no real clue how to articulate what their race is, and it is extremely difficult to win a race that you have not clearly defined. We want to help the men define their race, then help them figure out how to run that race. We don’t plan to simply tell them what to do. We want to show them how to do it.
The meeting runs on a two-day format, beginning this year at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, April 28, 2017, and concluding at approximately 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 29.
We will meet at the Payne County Expo Center, just east of Stillwater. Meals are provided on-site to allow the men more time to fellowship with one another, and include a full smoked meat dinner Friday night, complete breakfast Saturday morning, and a great lunch Saturday afternoon. In addition to the Advance, a golf tournament is open to all attendees and precedes the Advance earlier on Friday.
The service times and break-out sessions are the focus of the event. Here, the men are challenged to examine their lives in the light of God’s Word. Both humorous and contemplative skits are interspersed to reinforce the truths presented. Special music provided by the Bible Baptist Church Men’s Group and others adds to the wonderful congregational hymns, including the traditional It Is Well with My Soul finale.

Ticket purchases must be received by Friday, April 14, for us to plan properly. Late purchasing is allowed, but we cannot guarantee printed materials will be available. Tickets may be paid upon arrival, though it is recommended ticket purchasing be done in advance of the conference to expedite check-in. Upon arrival at the Advance, please check-in at the registration desk, which will be open from 5:00 P.M. to 6:45 P.M. on Friday evening as well as during the breaks. The workbook materials are bundled according to the number you specified during Ticket Purchase. If necessary, we can make adjustments to your count when you arrive, but again, we cannot guarantee we will have printed materials available for late registrations.
