More Event Information
The Department for Persons with Disabilities (DPD) is a nonprofit, Catholic Charities organization that makes a difference in the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout New Jersey.
Throughout the last 44 years, they have hosted the Wiegand Farm Golf Classic (WFGC) to help raise needed funds for their cause.
Throughout the past 7 years, this event has grown from a $10,000 net, 68 person outing; to a $100,000+ net, 330 amazing event. The outing is held at Crystal Springs Resort and golfers can choose between 3 award winning courses (Crystal Springs, Wild Turkey and Ballyowen [new for 2018]). The WFGC is one of the biggest and best outings in the United States.
The exciting day includes breakfast, lunch, a buffet dinner, 3 drinks per golfer on the course, cigars, an hour open bar, prize opportunities, a silent auction and the opportunity to meet the individuals whose lives you will be assisting.
Rates:
- Crystal Springs: $145 (through May 31st) – $150 (6/1 – 6/25)
- Wild Turkey: $160 (through May 31st) – $170 (6/1 – 6/25)
- Ballyowen: $175 (through May 31st) – $190 (6/1 – 6/25)
DPD offers a lot of extras at this event and does not make any profit on the cost of golf. They ask that you are as generous as possible through sponsorships, contributions and intra-event contests.
Discounted overnight room rates are also available, should you want to turn this event into a mini-vacation. Non-golfers or golfer family members can participate in numerous on-site events and amenities.
Sponsoring the event gives companies and small businesses the opportunity to promote their business before, during (on all 3 courses) and after the event.
All proceeds will benefit the Department for Persons with Disabilities (DPD) and make a difference in the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
