More Event Information

We are excited to announce that we will be hosting the annual Jordan Siegmueller Memorial Charity Golf Tournament on July 18th, 2020.

Although we are running this year, it will look a bit different. We will be running tee times instead of a shotgun start and the tee times will run between 8am and 4pm. I will be organizing the tee times, so if there is any request please forward to me. (It will be only one group at a tome this year.) It will still be a 4 person big hole scramble. We will still have the 3 divisions of competitive, mixed, and fun, so your team will need to declare before the round, and we will award the trophy to the overall low gross.

Golfers are asked to show up to register NO earlier than 30 minutes before their tee time and to follow the registration procedure that will be announced at a later time. Then they will play their round with their team following the golf course rules with regards to COVID19. After the round the players will follow the instructions and drop of their score card, collect their prize and dinner gift card, then leave the venue. We please ask that people leave immediately following their round to prevent congestion at the course.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to have a dinner this year due to the current situation, so we will be giving every participant a $25 gift card to a local restaurant, in place of the dinner we would have provided. We are also working to have a prepackaged lunch available for participants, and this will be available by a minimum $5 donation, just as we have done in the past.

When players are done and come through the check out station to get their prizes, they will also be able to purchase their last bucket draw tickets and other draws. For the individual prizes, a volunteer will pick your number and give you the prize associated. (There may not be enough prizes for every individual this year, but we will try). We will have buckets draws available and due to not be able to do any auctions, we may be doing more squares draws as that is the safest way to participate in the larger prize draws! I will do a live draw on Facebook for the big prizes and will make arrangements for them to get to the winners.

Although it will look different and there will be no big party this year, we know it will be a great day to remember Jordan and what he meant to us at the same time helping the local children organization of Big Brothers and Big Sisters. Also to raise money for the Jordan Siegmueller Memorial Bursary fund. We did award 2-$1000 bursaries to this years grads.

We do understand that not everyone will be able to attend given the date change, or they may not be comfortable with what is going on in the world currently, so refunds will be available, or we can hold your spot for next year if you choose not to get a refund. Please let us know as soon as possible as this is a popular tournament and we would like to give the people who want to golf in it the chance to do so.

Thank you for your patience and support as we work through the circumstance to make this years tournament happen! Please message me with any questions, you may have.

We are still looking sponsors and donations or help with prizes. Please let me know if you would like to help or know someone that might. We are also looking for someone who may help with prepackaged lunches for participants.(We do have a lunch sponsor, but we just need to find the provider.)

Thank you again to everyone! I will continue to update as we learn more information!!

Cost:$100/person (Currently full, however depending on people not able to attend, may be room.)

Type: a Big Hole tournament 4 people per team.

Original post and information.
Last year was our most successful year as we gave more than $33,000 to the recipients, and we are hoping to continue that this year, therefore we have started the planning of this years event. Four years ago, the community lost a great young golfer and an even better person by the name of Jordan Siegmueller. Jordan was respected and loved by many community members. The money raised from this tournament will go to the programming at the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Williams Lake, and the Jordan Siegmueller Bursary for two student athletes from the Lake City Secondary School in this community. There will be two $1000 bursaries given this school year. We are hoping to promote the sport of golf as well as healthy physical activity, as Jordan was also a great all around athlete.
This is a 4 person team event for all levels of golfers from beginners to experienced. It is also a BIG HOLE tournament, the will have tee times for each team.
Currently, we are asking for prizes or sponsorship for the golf tournament. There are many different ways to sponsor or donate and we are open to hearing any new ideas. I have also attached a sponsorship sheet, if you would like to talk about those options as well. If you or your business could help by providing us with prizes or sponsorship, it would help us facilitate another successful tournament. Which in turn, will help Big Brothers and Big Sisters ensure that their programs are able to remain vibrant and accessible, and will be a great way to honour Jordan Siegmueller and his family.
We look forward to discussing this event with you and please do not hesitate to call us with any questions. Thank you for your time and consideration.
