The mission of The Patrolman Gregory W. Bolden Memorial Scholarship Fund, Inc. is to raise funds to provide educational scholarships for socioeconomically disadvantaged students, especially African-Americans, graduating from one of the Providence public high schools, who have an interest in pursuing a degree in the Criminal Justice or allied fields.
The scholarship is focused on historically disadvantaged/minority students, particularly those of African-American descent, graduating from a public high school in Providence, who are interested in pursuing a degree in the Criminal Justice field and who have been accepted for attendance at Roger Williams University, where the scholarship resides.
Established in December 2007, the Patrolman Gregory W. Bolden Memorial Scholarship Fund is an endowed scholarship established by the family of Patrolman Bolden, with the voluntary support of The Providence Police Department, The Providence School Department and Roger Williams University.
