Mauritius ready to host the most beautiful week in golf at Heritage Golf Club. 🏌️⛳

The AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open celebrates its fifth anniversary this year, and some of the world’s leading professionals are set to return to one of the most spectacular destinations on the Race to Dubai when they battle it out at Heritage Golf Club.

Another strong field will gather at the Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Wellness resort on Domaine De Bel Ombre from 5-8 December for a tri-sanctioned tournament – alongside the Sunshine Tour and Asian Tour – which is driving the growth of Mauritius as an increasingly popular destination for the world’s leading professionals.

A 72-hole (4 day) stroke play Championship with 18 holes played each day. The field will comprise 156 professionals. Play will be in three-balls on the first two days, and in two-balls on the last two days after the cut. Play will be in accordance with the Rules of Golf of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews, the PGA, Sunshine Tour, European Tour, and Asian Tour Tournament Rules.

The scheduling of the tournament as the final event of the year on the Sunshine Tour – played directly after the Nedbank Golf Challenge and the Alfred Dunhill Championship – and the second tournament on the European Tour’s Race to Dubai for the 2020 season has also made it a highly attractive way for the professionals to end their year, with golf in paradise.

Last year at AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open at Anahita Mauritius, American Kurt Kitayama put himself in the limelight after claiming his maiden European Tour title on just his third start with a two-stroke victory, where he hit an eagle and 23 birdies in his 268-shot total.
