ASCE Richmond Branch is excited to announce our 18th Annual Golf Outing! As most of you know, our Branch launched an initiative in 2015 to revitalize our annual golf tournament. Our goal was to transform the event beyond just a fundraiser, into a chance for members of the greater Richmond area civil engineering community to spend a day together building and strengthening relationships with each other. From 2015 to 2019, we more than tripled our participation in the event! I think it goes without saying that 2020 brought that momentum to a grinding halt. It has been a tough year for our organization, but we have adapted and luckily we have been able to host many successful virtual events, holding paramount the safety and health of our members. We are excited to say that the time for us to reunite in person has come and our golf tournament is back and better than ever!

The proceeds from this event help us support our student outreach Annual Popsicle Bridge Competition and most importantly our Annual Scholarship. Thanks to the overwhelming support of our 2019 golf outing, last year we were able to award four $1,000 scholarships! We hope to pick up where we left off and build on that success this year, but we need your help!

Please join us at the Independence Golf Club in Midlothian, Virginia on September 13th. We will have a shotgun start at 1:00 PM and there will be a dinner and awards ceremony immediately after the round in the beautiful club house ballroom. I hope to see you all there!
