Incredible golf begins and ends right here at beautiful Firestone Country Club for the annual NFBPA Forum 2018 Golf Tournament. Firestone has long been synonymous with golf history. The first golf tournament hosted at Firestone Country Club was The Rubber City Open in 1954. Played on the South Course, the tournament was held yearly until 1959. Notable champions like Tommy Bolt, Arnold Palmer and Tom Nieporte all staked their claim to fame on its challenging bunkers, courses and fairways. The PGA Championship came to our Firestone golf facility for the first time in 1960, then returned in 1966 and 1975 with champions Jay Hebert, Al Geiberger and Jack Nicklaus.
In the 1975 PGA Championship, Jack Nicklaus pulled out a remarkable par on the Arnold Palmer nicknamed “Monster” 16th hole, considered to be the hardest hole on Firestone Country Club’s South Course. Tiger Woods also had a memorable moment when his “shot in the dark” on the 18th hole landed him a victory at the 2000 World Golf Championships – NEC Invitational. This spectacular golf course is sure to draw you into its historic mystique as you wind your way around the beautifully arranged holes.
So come and join us and show off your inner Champion at the NFBPA Forum 2018 Golf Tournament!
