Join us from June 1-7 to celebrate CapitalCare Foundation’s 25th Charity Golf Classic with us at the Gilead Golf Extravaganza and help raise funds ‘Fore’ a good cause!
The green grass of golf season is here and, like you, we’re excited to enjoy a round of golf while supporting residents living in CapitalCare centres. In keeping with the world we live in, we are offering a hybrid event with two exciting pieces to the Gilead Golf Extravaganza. We’re sure there is something for everyone!
Virtual Pitch & Putt – June 1-6 (ONLINE)
It’s a fun and unique option that ‘golfers’ can participate in from the comfort of home. The Virtual Pitch & Putt is built around 10 challenges that are completed from home and out in the neighbourhood for the chance to win prizes. While some of these challenges are golf-related, the focus is on having fun, team building and supporting our seniors in care.

On-Course In-Person Golf Tournament – June 7 at The Links in Spruce Grove
For those golfers who are itching to get on the course in support of seniors in care, we are pleased to bring back our In-Person Golf Tournament! This year’s in-person tournament will feature expanded food on the course in lieu of a banquet because participants’ safety is of the utmost importance to us. You also receive full access to the Virtual Pitch & Putt to get you warmed up!
Tee times will be staggered with up to four golfers teeing off at time to limit gathering and ensure social distancing with ease.
Tee times will be sent out to participants once registration closes. While we can’t guarantee a specific tee time, if needed, we will try our best to accommodate your schedule.
*Please note for our in-person tournament that COVID Measures will be in place including but not limited to: staggered tee times, handwash supplies and stations located throughout the tournament, options for smaller groups and individual golf carts, as well as food services aligned with pandemic recommendations. Individuals will be responsible for their personal masking as per the MOH guidelines.

Golfer Goodie Boxes will be delivered the week of May 24. Please include the shipping address when prompted at checkout of where you would like your box to be delivered to.
Please note: If due to COVID-19 and the MOH’s public health guidelines, golf courses are closed down, we will offer a full refund for the in-person portion of the event or the option to turn it into a donation with full tax receipt – whichever the individual preferred. The Virtual Pitch & Putt is designed to be safe to proceed under all stages of public health guidelines.
