The Inaugural Coach Eugene E. Clapp, Sr. Scholarship Golf Tournament has been organizied by the Miami Central Rockets Alumni Association (MCRAA). Coach Clapp was an Educator and Athletic Director at Miami Central Senior High for 14 years. During those 14 years at the School, he became a vital part of not just Miami Central, but of the surrounding Communities as well.
Coach Clapp tragically lost his life on September 6th, 1981 when he was struck by a bolt of lightning on the Golf Course. This Charity Golf Tournament has been created in his honor to be of service to Miami Central, its students, and the surrounding Communities.
