More Event Information

H.A.I.A. is an acronym for “HAWAII ATHLETES IN ACTION FOUNDATION”, a 501(c)(3) Non Profit Charitable Organization based out of beautiful Ewa Beach, Hawaii. We have been serving Student Athletes ages 12-21 years of age that are of Native Samoan and Native Hawaiian ancestry, who come pre-dominantly from low-income, at-risk homes and communities such as: Waianae, Makaha, Nanakuli, Kapoeli, Ewa Beach, Waipahu, Aiea; although they are our focus and emphasis of the H.A.I.A. Foundation… H.A.I.A. will help and serve ANY AND ALL who fall in the age bracket up above no matter what their racial backgrounds are or where they live here on Oahu or abroad.

Our Annual Smooth Operator Golf Tournament is a Charitable Fundraiser we hope that will help us to cover program costs that include: monthly empowerment workshops, 1 on 1 mentoring, break intersession activities, etc. and our Annual “I HAVE A DREAM PILGRIMAGE” we make every Summer for 2 weeks during the middle of June that includes: trip mainland U.S.A. to make college visits, football camps, academic/financial workshops, fellowship and service, life tour, live in college dorms, eat college cafeteria food, live the college life and getting acclimated to potential surroundings and for them to get their names out onto the College Coaches radars with the hopes of earning a Full Ride Athletic Scholarship with achieving their dreams to a College Degree that will bless their lives and enable them to live and earn a comfortable living for themselves and their respective families.

The areas we serve entail 2 High Schools that fall under the “National DROP OUT FACTORY” list which entails information regarding schools who have an enrollment to where 50% or more of their students DO NOT GRADUATE due to “dropping out’ of school ’cause of extenuating life circumstances and one of the highest Teenage Pregnancy rates in the country.
