We have set a date for the first annual “Mahogany Charity Classic” Golf Tournament!!! It will take place on August 15th (Saturday) at Serenity Golf Club. The tournament will be a four ball best ball format.
The first tournament will be 72 golfers (one team per hole shotgun start), and is currently open to Mahogany residents only. You will be required to show your HOA ID on day of the tournament. Currently Serenity has a temporary clubhouse and any more than 72 golfers will be tough to accommodate for the dinner afterwards. In the future when the new clubhouse is built and if this is successful we will add more golfers.
Price of the tournament will be $150/golfer. This price includes green fees, power cart, steak dinner, two drink tickets per golfer as well as a donation to a local charity (yet to be decided). There will also be some great prizes up for grabs.
I have made the initial $1500 deposit to secure the date and time for the tournament. To secure your place in the tournament we are asking each player to send $25 as a registration fee. This fee will be 100% refundable up to 1 month before tournament date. The remaining $125 fee will need to be paid 1 week prior to tournament date.
As mentioned in the first post I made a while back we will be doing a draft format to pick teams. This will make it as fair as possible for all players and so we don’t have stacked teams. Also picking teams like this is a good way to meet people in the community.
