Who are we?

The mission of the Sheriff’s Office Boating Safety Officers is to support the office by providing non-enforcement services that allow sworn MCSO Deputies to focus on their primary mission of crime prevention and the enforcement of the state and city laws.

After a few days of training, the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office provides us with a 21’ or 24’ Boston Whaler full of gas, assigns a second BSO to the boat, and lets us navigate the waterways. There is no better way to be on the water! This is your opportunity to give back to the community, while spending time on the beautiful waters of Lake Havasu and the Colorado River!

Our job is to educate the boating public and be a visible deterrent on our waterways.
