Bethpage Polo at the Park, North East Cup!
The New York Polo Series, hosted by Meadowbrook Polo Club, where legends were created, tradition began and the legacy continues. The tournament sees a total of three 12-goal leagues & one 8-goal league in competition. Cup matches are held Sunday’s at Bethpage Polo at the Park polo field in Bethpage State Park.
Played for over 2000 years, Polo- also recognized as “The Sport of Kings” is one of the only sports that is celebrated and played worldwide. Bethpage Polo at the Park takes place in the heart of Nassau County, at the beautiful polo grounds at Bethpage State Park. Bethpage Polo at the Park is a fun and unique place to host parties and groups of all sizes and is the perfect way to finish up the weekend with friends, family, co-workers or clients- perfect for any age!

How Do I Get to the Polo Field?
When you arrive at Bethpage State Park, or any NYS Park, you will come to a ticket booth where you you will be asked to pay the Mandatory $8.00 NYS Vehicle Use Fee. If you plan on attending the polo matches throughout the season you should purchase the NYS Empire Pass from NYS. You can enter the park for no additional cost other than the cost of the Empire Pass. For Empire Pass purchasing information, please call (518) 474-0458 or click here to visit the website. After paying at the toll booth, you can make an immediate right into the Polo Field.
Directions From L.I.E.
Take the L.I.E. to exit 44 south to exit 8 (Powell Avenue). At top of ramp, turn left and the Bethpage State Park entrance is a short distance on the left.
Directions From Northern State Parkway
Take the Northern State Parkway to exit 36A, to merge onto NY-135 South toward Seaford. Then take exit 8 for Powell Avenue toward Bethpage. At the top of the ramp, turn left and the Bethpage State Park entrance is a short distance on the left.
Directions From Southern State Parkway
Take the Southern State Parkway to exit 31, Bethpage Parkway, and take Bethpage Parkway to the end and go left out of the traffic circle. Look for entrance a short distance on the right.
Directions From LIRR
Tickets can be purchased at any ticket counter or ticket machine at any train station. Ask at the booth or look for the MTA getaways for Polo, Golf and Tennis at Bethpage State Park. Your ticket will take you to the Farmingdale train station where you can get a taxi which is included in the price. The taxi ride is round trip with the train for only $23.00. You should call the taxi cab (Long Island Yellow Cab) at 516-249-1212 after purchasing the tickets. Please be aware that multiple tickets/vouchers will print; LIRR RAIL tickets will print last. Be sure to take all ticket items upon completion of transaction.
What Do I Do When I Arrive?
Go to the Bethpage State Park ticket booth where you will be asked to pay a Mandatory $8.00 NYS Vehicle Use Fee. Note: This is NOT A PARKING FEE!
However, you can park in the picnic area for free which is a 4-5 minute walk up the hill to the polo field. If you hold a current Empire Pass, which you can purchase from NYS, you can enter the park for no additional cost other than the cost of the Empire Pass. For Empire Pass purchasing information, please call (518) 474-0458 or visit www.nysparks.com/admission/empire-passport/. If you Park field side there is a $5.00 per car fee.
