Clarksville’s Wooded View Golf Course will soon be filled with players hoping to make a difference in the lives of area children. The Optimist Club of Clarksville will be hosting their annual “Parent/Child Golf Tournament” on Sunday, August 12, 2018.
The Parent/Child Golf Tournament is open to children of all ages, and groups have an option to play in a 9-hole or 18-hole division. Fathers, Mothers, Grandparents, and step-parents are all welcome to play with a child in the tournament, and trophies will be awarded to the winners in each age group. The fee to participate is $45 per team for the 18-hole division, and $35 per team for the 9-hole division.

This annual tournament is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Optimist Club. The money raised from the tournament is used to support various programs in the Southern Indiana area, including programs offered through the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department. The Optimist Club also gives out scholarships each year to help Clarksville children pay for higher education.
