Swing for the Kids helps golf enthusiasts turn passion into purpose! Your support of Swing for the Kids to benefit Arts For Life will bring creativity, discovery, and joy to children and families in treatment for cancer and other serious illnesses at Duke Children’s Hospital & Health Center.

Art, music, and creative writing are often a much-needed bright spot in otherwise dark and challenging times for these kids. Last year, Arts For Life brought more than 4,000 art lessons to 2,000+ patients and family members.

In the spring of 2016, a dedicated group of Arts For Life volunteers rallied their friends and co-workers to raise funds for their local chapter at Duke Children’s Hospital and Health Center. Over 100 people showed up at Falls Village Golf Course in Durham, North Carolina for the inaugural Swing for the Kids golf tournament! The loyal participants braved hours of rain to drive, swing, chip, and putt their hearts out, for 18 holes. Stories were shared, prizes were awarded, laughter was plentiful, and at the end of the day, this stellar group of supporters raised over $16,000 to benefit patients and families in their local community.

Every day at Arts For Life, we see how the arts lift children up and help them heal, cope with the effects of illness, and succeed in life – and you can help make that happen.

This year, Swing for the Kids will be on Friday, April 28th and we hope to raise over $20,000 for our work, supporting children and families in our community. We’ve put in an order for sunshine and clear skies, and plan to recruit 30 foursomes to join us! Will you be one of them?

This exciting day of golf includes range balls, 18 holes including special activities throughout the course, door prizes, continental breakfast, snacks & beverages, a catered BBQ lunch, and a raffle with prizes including local golf packages, luxury hotel stays, spa retreats and more. This is a day not to miss – and all profits go directly to positively impact the children and families served by Arts For Life!
