More Event Information

We are hosting a Charity Golf Tournament benefiting Children’s Mercy Research Institute and the PTEN Foundation.  Our daughter was diagnosed with PTEN Hamartoma Tumor Syndrome in 2012 at 2 1/2 years of age.  At that time, there was no foundation, minimal information known, and we had no idea what to truly expect with her diagnosis.  Now, only 7 years later, we have a the PTEN Foundation that was founded by Kristin Anthony, which helps gather families, researchers, and providers together to improve the knowledge and understanding of this rare disease. 

Children’s Mercy Hospital is where we received our genetic diagnosis.  They are building a Children’s Research Institute, due to open in 2020, to help families with children throughout the city and country.  With this new institute, the hope for many is that they will find more information about these rare diseases that will allow them to develop a treatment, and possibly a cure.

Come join us in raising money for these two great non-profit organizations.  With your help, we can raise money to go towards more research to give more families answers and hope.  Either join as a sponsor and/or come join us for a fun day of golf, lunch, and prizes!  We will also accept donations for award giveaways and silent auction items.
