More Event Information
This event is scheduled for August 7th, 2021 at Bryan Park Champions Course in Browns Summit, NC. This fundraising event will once again bring everyone together to benefit Tau Omega’s Scholarship Fund, Boys Camp, and Mentoring Programs. We need your help to make this tournament a success for the outstanding youths who participate in our programs. You can do your part by registering to play, sponsoring a team, or donating to the event.
Scholarship Levels
- Omega Sponsor $2,500
- Purple Sponsor $1,500
- Gold Sponsor $1,000
- Hole Sponsor $150
TOURNAMENT FORMAT: Shamble, not to be confused with the ubiquitous golf scramble, is also popular in charity golf tournaments that are looking to shake things up a bit. Shambles usually consists of a 4-person team, where total scores for the hole (and round) are tracked to determine the winning team.
FIELD LIMITATIONS: The field is limited to the first 72 players
COST: $100 per player, $400 per team, or become one of our tournament sponsors.
LUNCH: Following the golf tournament.

ABOUT DR. DREWRY J. VINCENT
1961-2018
Dr. Drewry J. Marrow Vincent, DDS, son of Fannie M. Vincent and the late James M. Vincent, Sr., was born August 1, 1961 in Reidsville, NC. He made a peaceful transition into everlasting life on May 31, 2018 at his home after overcoming cancer for six years.
Drewry, better known as “DJ”, was a fun-loving and charismatic person that was loved by all. He continued his education at North Carolina Central University in Durham, N. C. where he graduated with a B. S. degree in Biology. He later received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in May 1988. On April 21, 1990, DJ married the love of his life, Teresa Harper, an attorney, and current judge in Greensboro, NC.
He began his dental career in Burlington in 1988 before joining the practice of Dr. Stan Allen, DDS in 1989. Dr. Vincent started his own practice with Dr. Allen’s blessing. His office is located on Elm Street in Greensboro where he was a valued member of the community until he passed.
While at North Carolina Central University, DJ became a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. He was an active member of The Tau Omega graduate chapter in Greensboro, NC. He was a member and past Sire Archon of the Sigma Pi Phi Boulé of Greensboro, NC, member of the American Dental Association, former president of the Guilford County Dental Society, and member of the Greensboro Medical Society.
DJ Vincent lived by the motto, “friendship is essential to the soul”. He was a joy to be around and he thoroughly enjoyed the fellowship of his family and friends. He inspired children, churches, and the community as a motivational and keynote speaker. His wisdom and humor provided all with a light of hope inspired by Christ.
