More Event Information
Welcome to the American Cancer Society’s 2017 William T. White, Jr. Memorial Golf Tournament. Over the past several years, this tournament has raised money to help the American Cancer Society save lives and create a world with more birthdays. We cordially invite you to participate in this exciting event and encourage you to register early. Not only will you have fun and enjoy the health benefits from an exciting round of golf, but you’ll also support the American Cancer Society’s efforts to save lives by helping people stay well and get well, by finding cures, and by fighting back against a disease that has taken too many lives.
For nearly a century, the American Cancer Society has fought for every birthday threatened by every cancer in every community. By taking what we’ve learned through research and turning it into what we do, we have contributed to a 15 percent decrease in the overall cancer death rate between the early 1990s and 2005. That means that we helped avoid about 650,000 cancer deaths and created the potential for more birthday celebrations. Overall, 11 million cancer survivors in America will celebrate a birthday this year. What better reason is there to “tee” it up?
Thank you in advance for your support. We look forward to seeing you on the course and sincerely appreciate your efforts to help the American Cancer Society save lives and create a world with more birthdays.
