More Event Information

1. The Clemson “family” has truly enjoyed the title of National Champions, but Coach Dabo has often said he strives “for the light to shine brightly from the inside of his players, not on them.”  York County Clemson Club (YCCC) believes in this analogy and strives to accomplish this for our Clemson “family”. We do this with the gifts and resources provided by YOU!!!  Some of the ways we shine this bright ORANGE light are:

Social & informational events:

• • For Clemson students, their families all other Clemson family members from York County & surrounding areas a free send-off picnic/cookout is held the week before the beginning of each academic year. This year’s picnic will be August 14, 2017 at the home of Roger & Kathy Troutman.

• • The “Big Thursday” family social before the Clemson vs.USC game with the Tiger mascot, hor d’ourves & cash bar.

• • The YCCC Prowl & Growl is April 24, 2017 at First Baptist Church Rock Hill. This year’s event is being held in conjunction with the Charlotte Clemson Club.

Scholarship funding events (Donation goes to Clemson to support scholarships for York County students annually.):

• • The Harper Gault Scholarship Golf Tournament – September 2017 Rock Hill Country Club (date not confirmed at this time.)

• • The Pad Campaign for endowed scholarships ($100 to have name included on pad.& receive 10 pads. Please contact us if interested in being included as we are currently working on this project)

As you can see the YCCC works hard to keep the Clemson spirit alive and well, and we need your support by becoming a member of York County (& surrounding areas) Clemson Club. Dues for this membership are $20/person. A portion of your dues goes to Clemson, in your name, to our scholarship fund thereby crediting you as an active supporter/alumni participant. The balance is used by YCCC to provide the above events.

As a thank you for joining the YCCC this year by May 31, 2017, you will be included in a drawing for a piece of orange SC state yard art (retail value $60). This would be a perfect way to show your support of your state & Clemson.
