All proceeds fund a college scholarship endowment and the financial assistance program for players in the name of Sam Chuenchit. For those who don’t know Sam’s story see below:

“The idea for this benefit golf tournament was conceived by a group of friends and family after Sam’s death in January 2008, when our community lost an amazing coach, friend, father, and husband. Sam’s scholarship benefits two high school soccer players furthering their education at the college/university of their choice.

Sam chose to live the game he loved: SOCCER. Sam spent nearly 30 years coaching for Bootleggers, Greeley Central, Greeley West, and Northridge. Soccer spoke to Sam in a way that made him feel alive and his love of soccer was always apparent to those around him. All he wanted was for kids to play the sport no matter their age, school, gender, or their ability . . . if a child had a desire to play soccer Sam was there for that child . . . just come to play.”
