Come out for the 1st Annual Cure for Camden Golf Tournament on Saturday 10/21 at 1pm. This will be a 4 man Captain’s Choice tournament with a cost of $200 per team with chicken, burgers and hotdogs provided afterwards. Now a little about Camden…..Camden was diagnosed with PKD at the age of 4 (he is turning 9 on 9/8). PKD is a genetic disorder effecting 1 in 20,000 people. It is the 4th leading cause of kidney failure due to enlarged cystic kidneys. There is no cure and the only option is eventual kidney transplant. It is a painful disease that effects the quality of life. PKD kidneys can grow as large as a football and weigh as much as 30 lbs. a piece. Hepatic fibrosis creates liver cysts and severe liver enlargement. In Camden’s case, he will need a liver and kidney transplant in the future. He was also recently diagnosed with a lipoma brain tumor that will need to be removed eventually.

Camden is a fighter. He is one of the nicest kids you would ever meet. He enjoys legos, movies, being outside, and playing with friends. I hope that this tournament can take some of the burdens away from the family. Please come out to support him in any way that you can.
