The Rotary Club of Clover Park is pleased to announce it’s 1st Annual Support American Lake Veterans Golf Course Tournament.  Please join us with a team or sponsor a hole at this fun event!  The tournament will be held on Saturday, August 4th, 2018.  Pre-register by regular mail using the form on the Clover Park Rotary website.  Use Eventbrite on the Clover Park Website to purchase tickets digitally.

This tournament is a joint fund raiser supporting American Lake Veterans Golf course as they help veterans “heal through the power of golf” and support Veteran’s initiatives.  This tournament marks the beginning of a 5-year $25,000 commitment by Clover Park Rotary to sponsor and support the Veteran’s golf course.  In addition, Clover Park Rotary will use the balance of the proceeds for projects within the Lakewood community assisting children in need.  Pre-register by regular mail using the form on the Clover Park Rotary website.  Use Eventbrite on the Clover Park Website to purchase tickets digitally.

The American Lake Veteran’s Golf Course is a great success story.  It is run 100% by volunteers. From the front desk, beautifying the grounds, raking traps, maintaining greens, instructing disabled veterans, and performing all other duties in running a golf course.  

Clover Park Rotary funds a variety of local charitable projects including Communities in Schools, Lakewood Playhouse Summer Scholarships for children, Partners for Parks, Education Support at Tyee Park Elementary, Emergency Food Network Break Bag project, Christmas shopping for local children in need, Children’s Summer Food Program, Lakewood’s ArtsFest and local college scholarships.

The tournament per person cost is $125, a four person team is $500.  This cost includes 18 holes of golf, 1/2 of a powered cart and a BBQ lunch. Please contact a Clover Park Rotarian or James Hairston on the Clover Park Rotary website for sponsorship opportunities.
