Proceeds from this event will feed children in need from Galveston Elementary in Chandler, Arizona every weekend for 1 year.

“I am Eddie Rodriguez, I’m a native to AZ, grew up in Mesa and have been a resident of Chandler for a number of years now. I’ve been in the mortgage industry greater part of my life.

 This community has given me a lot and its time I give something back. I am starting a chapter for a great Non-Profit Organization called Blessings in a Backpack, which helps feed children from impoverished homes, with meals over the weekend during the school year. I am a father of two (2) spunky little boys who enjoy their pizza/game night every Friday and can’t wait for their Ice-cream social Saturday’s, who look forward to the Sunday morning pancakes; but do you know that there are thousands of kids in our community that eat nothing more than one meal a day? There are kids who would entirely go without a meal if it were not for the school lunches. They go to bed hungry and sometimes without any food over weekends. I can’t think of any reason why any child anywhere and especially in our great nation and such a great community should ever go hungry. To me there is nothing more important than working to see that no child in this world goes without food. Feeding a child not only provides a child with a meal, but also has a proven track record of boosting enrollment, attendance, and academic performance.

I would like you to join me in eradicating the epidemic of hunger starting with our community. We will be providing meals over the weekends to underprivileged children from Galveston Elementary. On an average it costs $100 per child to feed them for an entire school year. Your donations will help feed these kids a well balanced diet on weekends when they do not get school lunches. With your help I envision to grow our Chandler chapter to more schools and other districts by helping children in need. Let’s ensure that we do our best so no child, nowhere at no time should go hungry. Let’s join hands in giving back to this amazing community by starting with it’s most vulnerable members, our children.”

HOLE-IN-ONE CONTEST RULES:

1.  Competition is open to all amateurs.  Qualifying players must be 18 years of age or older. Professional golfers are ineligible except as expressly stated herein.  A professional golfer is one defined as a member of any professional golf club or organization at the current time or having held a professional golf certificate thirty (30) days prior to the Hole-In-One Contest, or any person acting as a golf pro and receiving compensation for being a golf professional in the teaching of other golfers or operating any type of organization is also not eligible for this contest. 

2.   Players must use golf balls provided, other balls will not be allowed. All players must read and sign an Official Entry Application including the applications personal injury waiver and right to retain amateur status.  


3. The 2017 FIMC Broker’s Cup Hole-In-One Contest will be held on the 3rd hole of the San Marcos Golf Club Course, 100 North Dakota Street, Chandler, AZ 85225 on Friday, April 28, 2017 with a 1:00 PM shotgun start. The yardage for the contest will be 212 yards for men and 197 yards for women.

4. The $50,000 prize will only be paid for holes-in-one made during the FIMC Broker’s Cup and shall not be paid for holes-in-one made prior to start or following last registered golfer to pass the 3rd hole. The $50,000 prize will be paid in accordance with the contract with the National Hole-In-One Insurance, which hole-in-one insurance proposal is incorporated herein by reference as if set forth in full.  A copy of said proposal may be reviewed in the Fairway Independent Mortgage Branch 811 office at 55 N. Arizona Place, Suite 103, Chandler, AZ 85225. The tournament committee reserves the right to refuse awarding of the $50,000 or any part thereof due to any irregularity in the application of the rules.  The schedule of payment will be announced within ten (10) days after certification of eligibility.


ALL PRIZES ARE NON-TRANSFERABLE AND WILL BE FORFEITED IF NOT CLAIMED WITHIN (90) DAYS. 

5.  Officials will be on duty at all times during the contest.  Their decision in all matters is final.  Only designated officials shall exercise the right to question eligibility of any contestant.  Eligibility may be revoked at the sole discretion of Tournament Officials.

6.  Only clear shots to the target area are allowed.  Only Tournament Officials may disqualify a ball.  Decision of Officials is final. Ricochets and other shots will be disqualified if the ball comes in contact with any other ball or physical object not considered part of the natural turf.

7.  The contestant understands that his/her entry into the event constitutes permission to use his or her name and likeness for advertising and publicity purposes without any additional compensation &/or approval.  The contestant is solely responsible for making determinations as to the consequences of participating in this event.

8.  Those contestants participating in the Hole-In-One Contest do so at their own risk.  The FIMC Broker’s Cup, Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation, San Marcos Golf Club and other sponsors & volunteers assume no responsibility for personal injury, loss or damage to personal, private or other property and equipment claimed lost or damaged which contestants or their guests may sustain.  Contestants hereby agree to hold the following entities and persons harmless of any and all acts, including negligence: Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation, San Marcos Golf Club, PGA Tour Superstore, the official Hole-In-One Insurance provider and other sponsors and tournament officials in this regard.

9.  The winner shall be required to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release within thirty (30) days of the date of the Contest or an alternative winner may be selected.  Said Affidavit will be sent to winner within 14 days of final playoff.

10.  The winner shall be solely responsible for any taxes for cash prize.

11.  Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation shall not be responsible for and delay on part of official Hole-In-One Insurance company.

12.  This contest is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law.
