Robbie Ward was a local golfer who graduated from Aztec H.S. He had played on the golf team from 8th –12th grade. He died unexpectedly in Nov. 2004 six months after graduation. The 2005 golf team dedicated their season to his memory. The Robbie Ward Memorial Golf Tournament was started that spring as a fundraiser for the Aztec H.S. golf team. In 2006 the tournament awarded it’s first scholarship. We have expanded to include high school golfers from San Juan County and award multiple scholarships every year. We have awarded over 30 scholarships so far. Help us help the kids and have fun doing it.
