Join us for the 2nd Annual #SlapCancer Golf Tournament on Thursday, April 5th at McCormick Ranch Golf Club to support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) fundraising campaign for Kiesha McFadden, “Woman of the Year” 2018 Nominee.

I would like to personally Thank You for taking the time to consider your involvement and support of such a worthwhile cause. I’m representing all of those touched by cancer. My goal is to raise an insane amount of money in a 10-week period. Every dollar I raise counts as one vote and the candidate who gets the most votes/raises the most money is named the Man or Woman of the Year. The benefits of this 2nd Annual #SlapCancer Golf Tournament will direclty go to my campaign in hopes of winning this competition. But in the end, it is about all of the nominees working tirelessly to spread awareness and make an impact in the fight against Cancer.

There were a number of variables that impacted my decision to accept this nomination. So many close to me have been touched by cancer, and this is my way of making someday TODAY.

Through my involvment with LLS over the past year, I have met some amazing people both battling and WINNING the fight against cancer. What I have learned from my involvment and what has kept me engaged with LLS, is the impact that Blood Cancer research has made on other forms of Cancer. My mentor Mrs. Griffin, family, extremely close friends and many more … have been diagnosed with various forms of Cancer – some more extreme than others. Many LLS supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients, but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. And LLS funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives every day. With more than 40% of all blood cancer research leading to treatments of other cancers, I knew this was an organization I wanted to pour into – Physically, Emotionally and Financially. Because I truly view this as a fight against ALL CANCERS!

As you know, everyone wins when cancer loses, and thanks to your support, my efforts will help fund the therapies and treatments that save lives, not someday but TODAY.

Over the years, support from people like you has been responsible for the blood cancer advancements that have doubled, tripled, and in some cases quadrupled the survival rate for some blood cancers. We really are getting close to our goal of a world without blood cancers!
