Please join us for The Third Annual Brian Hamlin Jr. Memorial Golf Tournament!
It’s hard to believe that this June will mark three years since this world lost an incredible brother, son, friend, and person who could win over a room with his presence alone. It’s important to our family to continue coming together each year to remember Bri, share stories, laugh, and continue his journey. Bri wore his heart on his sleeve and believed in people in a way that few people do. No matter what life threw his way or toward those he cared about, he was there. Bri kept showing up and was there for people when it mattered most. The Hamlin Family and friends continue working to provide assistance for those who are struggling. Substance abuse does not discriminate between socioeconomic status, occupation, or if you grew up in a home similar to the one on “Leave it to Beaver.” Anyone can be effected by it, and at this point, we all know someone who is struggling or has struggled with substance abuse.
The funds raised by these tournaments have gone to help those struggling get the help they need, increase substance abuse awareness in our communities, and, there is also something bigger, more permanent, and on-going in the works–so stay-tuned for that! All of your contributions are greatly appreciated. We couldn’t have the impact we’re striving for without your help!
I’m also going to take a minute to voice how truly proud I am of this family. My mother has been running a support group for families who have been effected by addiction. My father ran for State Representative, making the Opioid Crisis a major component of his platform. My “little” brother got married, bought a house, and is expecting a baby girl in June. I am beyond grateful and proud of all of you. Learning to continue on after having our worlds unexpectedly shattered in an instant has not been an easy feat. You’re remarkable people and I’m blessed to have you in my life. –Brandi
