Mauch Chunk Charity Foundation in Jim Thorpe, PA is hosting its fifth annual charity golf outing at Mountain Valley Golf Course in Barnesville, PA on Saturday, April 27, 2019.

This year’s beneficiary is a dear friend, 39-year-old Jim Thorpe native, Kevin Doll, who has recently been diagnosed with esophageal cancer. Kevin has been a close friend with members of our organization for many years and helped support our cause since its inception. Kevin is a respected community member and with your contribution we can give back to help him offset costly medical bills, beat this disease and hopefully discover a cure.

Last year’s event netted more than $5,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society – Lehigh Valley Chapter, and with your contribution and/or sponsoring this year’s event, we hope to raise the bar even higher. To date, our organization has raised more than $30,000 which has directly benefited a multitude of causes including cancer research, scholarship funds, and more.

The tournament is in the format of a four-man scramble. All players/teams must be registered and paid in full by Saturday, April 13, 2019. The tournament has a 10:00 a.m. shotgun start and all players are to be registered and at their assigned starting hole by 9:45 a.m. Registration will be inside the pro shop or outside (weather permitting) at Mountain Valley from 8:00-9:30 a.m. The $75 player fee includes greens fee w/ cart, prize tickets, unlimited beer on the golf course (and soda and water), and a buffet style dinner following the event including alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. There is also a cash bar inside the banquet hall. Please DO NOT bring your own alcoholic beverages!

We are also seeking sponsorships, gifts and monetary donations. If your business is interested in sponsoring a hole on the course, please reach out to us directly. The same goes for anyone who wishes to donate gifts (gift cards, gift baskets, etc.) or money. All proceeds are going directly to Kevin.
