More Event Information
The tournament will be held on Friday, June 30th at Jester Park golf course. Here is the information regarding this year’s event:
TIME: 12pm Registration, 1pm Shotgun Start
PLACE: Jester Park Golf Course
ENTRY FEE: $100.00/person (includes: green fees, cart, drinks, steak dinner). Payment can be made in advance or at signup. Credit Card, Cash, or Checks made out to The Keg Stand. $25.00/person for post party only and no golf (includes steak dinner and beer).
FORMAT: Tournament will be played in Scramble with 4-person teams.
CHARITY: This year we have selected the Hyatt family from West Des Moines, IA.. Niavh Hyatt is a smart and beautiful 13 year-old young lady. She was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer of the brain and spine (sPNET) in Dec. 2011 just before her eighth birthday. She completed her first treatment in 2012, at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. This year-long treatment included initial surgery on her spinal cord, six weeks of hi-dose radiation, as well as four rounds of hi-dose chemo with stem cell rescue. In 2014, Niavh relapsed. She had brain surgery to remove the new tumor. She began a chemo trial which kept her cancer under control for eight months. In November of 2014, scans showed her cancer had returned a third time. She has since been in home hospice care, since no further treatment options are available at this time. Despite all of this, Niavh smiles the brightest smile and gives the best hugs. She has so much love to give, and can teach us all how to live not taking anything for granted. Her motto is NEGU, or Never Ever Give Up, and she lives each day to the fullest.

HOLE SPONSORS: Cost is $300 for an individual, family, or business. Sign is provided with name of your choice and will be placed on one of the golf holes for over 100 golfers to see.
PLATINUM SPONSORS: Cost is $500 for an individual, family, or business. Hole sponsorship, 2 tickets to after party, and name recognition at the after party award ceremony.
VOLUNTEERS: We need people on the day of the tournament from as early as 11am until 7pm. Volunteers receive a free t-shirt, some drinks, and a free steak dinner. There will be an organizational meeting for all volunteers the week of the tournament.
