More Event Information

The Black Data Processing Association (BDPA), Greater Huntsville Chapter is presenting its 1st Annual Golf Tournament on April 20, 2018, at the Sunset Landing Golf Course. This event is structured to help support BDPA High School Computer Competition, Scholarships and variousother program to carry out our chapter mission. As this year’s tournament Chairman, I am soliciting your support to further assist BDPA ability to provide scholarship funds for qualified area youth with interest in Science Technology Engineering and Math. 

Platinum Major Tournament Sponsorship includes 4 two-player teams, advertising (TV, radio, newspaper), promotion banner w/logo, certificate, choice of tee off hole & hole marker and 8 Mulligans, plus prime product marketing day of tournament at hole in one, putting and greens. Gold sponsorship packet includes two (2) two-man teams, advertising and promotion, a plaque, choice of tee-off hole, 4 mulligan and company name at a hole.  Corporate sponsorship packet includes two (2) two-player teams and hole marker, advertising and promotion banner with logo, plaque or choice of tee-off hole and hole marker, 4 mulligans. Hole sponsors will be recognized with their company name on a hole. We will pay out approximately $2,500.00 in prize money to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.

The tournament is one of our three major fundraising efforts to fund our annual HSCC, scholarships and mentoring programs. The HSCC students are selected from our many BDPA STEM student members youth who meet prescribed requirements without regard to gender, race, or religious preference.

Portions of your contributions, donations and all proceeds may be tax deductible IAW IRS tax regulations. Our chapter works to improve the lives of area youth by empowering them to reach their fullest potential in an area of STEM and emphasizes the national organizations focus on, “being the leading and most recognized organization in enabling digital leadership preparedness for aspiring diverse professionals”.
