Disclaimer:

Like other activities, District Disc carries with it the risk of personal injury. By choosing to participate, players acknowledge the associated dangers and assume all liability. District Disc, Czech Village-New Bohemia Main Street and it’s representatives are not responsible for any lost or stolen belongings or injury that occurs during this event. Participants must abide by all traffic regulations and behave responsibly when crossing streets. Sidewalks should be used whenever possible. District Disc holes are placed within city-owned property, please refrain from traversing privately-owned property. It is important to be aware of your surroundings at all times. Please make sure the  course area is free from pedestrians and vehicular or bicycle traffic before throwing a disc.

Registration:

When registering you will be asked to enter the name of an existing team or create a new one. We encourage participants to gather a group of friends, coworkers, or family to form teams of 4. Eventbrite has great tools to share your team registration page; allowing participants to register on their own. Team leaders may also password protect their team registration page to limit registration to invited members only. i.e. 4 members from the same company

Participants may also register as an individual and we will do our best to find you a team. Individual registrants will receive team assignments at check-in.

Registrations received after Tuesday May 30th may not be guaranteed a souvenir disc for game play. Registration will be accepted on-site between 1-1:20pm.

Gameplay: 

Check-in will take place at 1pm at the National Czech & Slovak Museum (1400 Inspiration Place SW). Teams will be assigned a hole to tee off from. All teams will start at 1:30 and rotate through the 9 holes in the assigned order, the holes will be repeated for 18 total holes. Each team will submit the best score out of their 4 team members for each hole.

This is a friendly, recreational tournament. Please help new players learn the rules. No play-through is allowed in order to keep a balanced number of teams on each hole.

Once a team has completed the course they may submit their scorecards at the 10th Hole After Party – Location TBD. Live music, food & drinks, games, and prize giveways will be available from 3-5pm. Winners will be announced at 4pm.

What should I bring?

2 Disc Challenge – Registrants will receive a souvenir putter & mid-range disc, while supplies last. It is recommended to bring any additional discs you would like for game play, however discs will be limited to only putter and mid-range. The District Disc course utilizes vacant land that may contain long grass, debris, uneven ground, etc. It is recommended to wear closed-toe, sturdy shoes. Protect yourself from the elements. Sunscreen, hats, bug repellent, and water bottles are recommended.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Free parking is available near the registration tent along 15th Ave SW. All course holes are within walking distance of the registration location. Ample free street parking is available near course holes if needed.

Can I update my registration information?

Yes, you can change teams or join a team by logging into your Eventbrite account and selecting “Tickets” under the Account menu. Then select “Transfer”, “Change Team” and join or create a new team.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

It’s helpful, but not required. We can check you in electronically.

What about restrooms?

A public restroom is available near the check-in location (Kosek Bandstand).Public restrooms will be available during 10th Hole After Party 3-5pm. Private business restrooms may be reserved for patron use only.

What is the refund policy?

This is a fundraiser event, sorry no refunds.

In the event of heavy rain or inclement weather, we will still offer an afternoon of fun and games at the 10th Hole After Party location. Gameplay will continue in the event of light/intermittent rain.

In the case of severe weather, gameplay will be suspended and it is advised to take shelter immediately.
