DSCC Honor’s Society “Goes for the Green” Golf Tournament will be held Saturday afternoon, Nov. 4, at The Forest Hill Golf Course in Drummonds. The DSCC Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society is sponsoring this event with proceeds benefiting PTK activities and program needs. The tournament will begin with a shotgun start at noon.
In addition to the traveling trophy, participants have the chance to win cash prizes in various contests including a putting contest, a hole-in-one contest, a longest drive contest and a closest-to-the-pin contest. Bayird Chevrolet will sponsor the opportunity for the top two winners of the closest-to-the-pin contest to win a brand-new car from by hitting a hole-in-one. Door prizes will be awarded at the end of the tournament. Dr. Brigham Scallion, PTK chapter advisor, will serve as tournament director.
The cost for a team of four is $400 and includes a catered lunch beginning at 11 a.m. Cash prizes will be awarded to first, second and third place teams in two flights. Members of DSCC’s PTK Honor Society will be soliciting local businesses for door prizes and sponsorships over the next month.
