Supporting the Girl Scouts of Hawaii’s STEM Center for Excellence.
Finance Factors has been part of the Hawaii community for 71 years and we want to be here and part of a thriving community for the next 71 years and beyond. We attribute our success over the past seven decades to the community and continue to devote time and resources to organizations across our state that help drive economic, environmental and social progress.
Proceeds raised by our Charity Golf Tournament will allow The Finance Factors Foundation to support the Girl Scouts of Hawaii’s STEM Center for Excellence.
The STEM Center for Excellence at Camp Paumalu is a sprawling 135-acre living laboratory located on Oahu’s North Shore that provides year-round opportunities in cybersecurity, astronomy, robotics, computer coding, botany, chemistry, environmental stewardship and more. Its mission is to provide better support of high-quality STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) engagement for Girl Scouts and non-Girl scouts by working with national partners like: NASA, SETI Institute, Raytheon, Palo Alto Networks and The North Face.
Together with educators, school students, and the community, the facility creates engaging curriculums and attracts local young students to increase not only female STEM interest, but also increase the number of STEM professionals in Hawaii. The Center serves as a living laboratory where girls can enjoy outdoor adventure while exploring STEM careers by conducting on-site experiments and learning how their STEM skills can make the world a better place.
