Dear Friends,

I hope you are well and staying healthy during these tough times. As you guys know, the restaurant industry has been hit very hard by this pandemic and the last few months have been a constant struggle for all of us between constant regulation changes to unexpected losses due to a massive dropoff in sales.

We have therefore teamed up with our friends and neighbors at Thornton’s Fenway Grille to invite you to our El Pelon / Thornton”s Covid Relief Golf Tournament to be held at Robert T Lynch Golf Course in Brookline on Wednesday, September 23!

The proceeds from the tournaments will go to both restaurants to help with employee salaries, rent as well as operating expenses as right now all restaurants are struggling to keep above water.

Even though Covid restrictions won’t allow us to do as much as we would like to do at an event like this, we will have a fun day planned with giveaways, prizes, vouchers for free meals and drinks at our restaurants, as well as a friendly (or not so friendly, that is up to you haha!) 18 hole golf tournament on a great course! Of course, everyone’s safety will be our absolute biggest focus and everything will be done following the social distancing guidelines we have all grown accustomed to over the last few months, so that this will be a very safe and socially distanced event! The entry fee for this charity event will be $125 per player or $500 for a four men team!

For those of you who are unable to attend or who simply want to skip the golf part and just help, we have several ways to get involved, whether it is by donating, raising money for the cause and/or different sponsorship packages. Remember, every little bit helps!

Lastly, I would like to thank everyone in advance for helping out with this. We love our community and miss seeing everyone at the restaurant and for our usual events!
