More Event Information

Kyle and Rebekah Stephens and their 3 children Harper, Greyson and Hunter have found themselves in an unfortunate situation. Greyson and Hunter are 8-month-old twin boys. Greyson has had a rough time since birth with many struggles. A tumor was found in his tongue and a few weeks ago he was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma. At this point he has been treated by and will continue to undergo treatment at Wake Forrest Baptist Medical Center. He and his family will face a battle that no family should have to face alone.

The friends of this family along with their church, Millers Lutheran Church of Hickory, have pulled together to put on a Golf Tournament Fundraising Event at Ole Still Golf Club on May 20th, 2017. All the proceeds of this event will be given directly to the Stephens Family to hopefully lessen the burden of what they all will face during their battle. The team of volunteers are reaching out to anyone that is willing to help. Help can be given in many forms such as playing in the tournament, sponsoring, cash donations, and donating items for prizes. (Donations are tax deductible) Please consider participating at the Golf Tournament and/or being a willing hand to do what is needed. *Entry fee $75 per person, 2 man teams (cash or check payable to Millers Lutheran Church)
*2 Person Best Ball (or) 2 Person Captain’s Choice. Each team must choose one division to compete. (players participating in the best ball division will need to submit an average score of 18 holes)
*2 mulligans, 1 tee buster, and a throw $25.00- limit 2 per golfer
*Closet to the pin par 3 prizes
*Hole in one prizes
*Saturday 8:30 am and 2:00 pm Shotgun Starts
*Cash prizes for 1st and 2nd place in each flight
*Number of flights will be determined by number of teams
*Lunch served from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm
*Players will receive a gift certificate for a free round at Ole Still for participating, $15 cart fee not included
*Practice round availble Monday-Friday: Call Ole Still for a tee time, $15 cart fee not included
