Austin HIMSS is pleased to invite you and your guests to our 1st Annual Golf Tournament! The tournament will be held Friday, May 12th, 2023 at the Teravista Golf Club just north of Austin. All proceeds go to support Austin HIMSS, our scholarship fund benefitting local university students pursuing careers in healthcare IT, and our annual education initiative to support local efforts in our healthcare community. Participating in our golf event allows our chapter to provide more scholarships for students pursuing education in health IT as well as provide educational sessions for our members.
The tournament schedule will run from 8:00am-12:00pm and will be as follows:
- 7:00 AM-8:00 AM: Arrival, check-in, warm up, and breakfast
- 8:00 AM: Tee Off
- 12:00 PM: Lunch/Awards/Networking

Sponsorship Includes:
As a sponsor of this event, you will get one golfer entry plus access for one other participant to the pre golf breakfast as well the post tournament lunch and networking. Additionally, you will be assigned one of 18 course holes for your organization to be at during the tournament. This will come with a standard table and 2 chairs. We encourage sponsors to make this space their own with promotional material, giveaways, etc. Lastly, sponsor logos will be present on event marketing materials online (LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.) as well as day of (cart tags, posters, etc.). Sponsorship will offer exposure to healthcare providers, a fun event, good food, and a great time!
Because this event is complimentary for our HIMSS Austin provider members, we encourage our vendors to sponsor an existing team or build your own foursome and find providers to golf with you! Sponsorship will include 1 golfer, while the other 3 golf spots will be filled with providers.
Please note, 54 golf spots will be reserved for healthcare providers and any remaining spots will be allotted to interested sponsors based on availability. No sponsorship refunds will be available.
