Carlsbad, Calif. (February 8, 2018) – The 9th Annual Kia Classic LPGA tournament returns to the Park Hyatt Aviara Resort, Golf Club & Spa in Carlsbad, California from March 19-25, 2018. The Kia Classic attracts a field of 144 top-ranked professional female golfers from around the world and boasts one of the best fields on Tour.

Players will compete for a purse of $1.8 million and an all-new 2018 Kia Stinger fastback sports sedan. The Kia Classic Tournament week will feature a qualifier, practice rounds on Monday and Tuesday, a Wednesday Pro-Am round, and four competitive rounds of golf from Thursday through Sunday.
At the 2017 Kia Classic, Mirim Lee took home the $270,000 winner’s check and an all-new Kia Cadenza, with a 20-under par 268 score and a six-shot win over So Yeon Ryu and Austin Ernst. Lee’s score tied the tournament record set by Cristie Kerr in 2015. In addition, Lee is the second player from the Republic of Korea to win the Kia Classic, joining inaugural winner Hee Kyung Seo in 2010.
