Dr. Lisa Kingsbury Goodman lost her dad to Pancreatic Cancer in 2007 just 6 months after diagnosis. Along with close friends and family, she created the Kingsbury Open in 2015 to celebrate Tom’s life and his love of golf. It has become a huge tribute to others we have lost to Pancreatic Cancer and a solid way to raise money, create awareness and give back.
The mission of the Kingsbury Open is to pay tribute to those we have lost to Pancreatic Cancer, and to give hope to individuals and families that are battling this terrible disease. Celebrating the game we love, The Kingsbury Open is about making memories and birdies golfing with our friends, colleagues and loved ones.
Local Charity: The Kingsbury Open has partnered with Wings of Hope for Pancreatic Cancer Research, a local charity that donates 100% of proceeds to pancreatic cancer research at the University of Colorado Cancer Center.
Featured Golf Course: Our host is the beautiful Golf Club at Bear Dance in Larkspur, CO. The format of the tournament is a scramble.
Thanks to our organizing commitee: Joe Goodman Kelsey Schwab Ryan Shaw Jace Buzek Natalie Laurila
