More Event Information

Logan is 15 years old with a fatal muscle wasting disease. It is a rare disease that effects mostly pediatric boys, but in rare cases has also affected girls. The name of this disease is Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. While other children run around playing burning energy (muscles), children with this disease cannot. If they burn muscle, then it’s gone. There is no rebuilding. Your heart and lungs are muscles. For my son a cure has not been found, but we are hopeful that with continued research and today’s technology a treatment will soon be discovered. As parents when you find out you are going to be a father or a mother and someone ask what would you like to have a boy or a girl? The common answer is “It doesn’t matter as long as he/she is healthy. To parents of children with a disability it really hurts because that’s what we said also. We love our son more than he knows, and just because he has a gift that no other child has (a gift to smile even when every muscle hurts) it doesn’t make us think any different of him. We are putting on this event to help continue research, but we can’t do it alone. We need your help. Please show your love for Logan and sign up for our event. Kiss your children, hug your children, and let them know constantly how much they are loved. God has loaned them to us and we never know when we must give them back.
