Our goal this year is $10,000, and 100% of the proceeds go to Mercy Drops and the work that we’re doing in and around downtown Portsmouth.
What kind of crowd will this event draw?
The Mercy Drops Golf Tournament is Hosted by Mercy Drops, and will be made up of up to 72 golfers. Including vendors, we will total around 100 people at this event. Vendors are made up of business owners and professionals.
What we expect from our sponsors and what to expect from us.
We are hoping that this event will take on a life of it’s own! We love our Hole Sponsors to think outside the box. Games, swag, and small snacks are all encouraged. We would love for you to make some business connections by promoting your business in a fun and personal way. Depending on the sponsor level, you can get a hole to decorate any way you want, social media promotion, and so much more. This is a very cost-effective way to promote your business and help the community.
How can I sign up? Is it tax deductible?
You can pay here via Eventbrite or make checks payable to Mercy Drops. Send completed registration form and check to: P.O. Box 9416, Chesapeake, VA 23321. Mercy Drops operates under our 501(c)3 Nonprofit status.
What other ways can I help besides doing a sponsorship or foursome?
We are in need of raffle prizes and other items. Any donated gift baskets, products or coupons are appreciated. We also provide recognition for your donation and it is a great way to promote your brand.

The Cause?
Mercy Drops is a local non-profit that is helping all people dream again, regardless of age, race, or circumstance. Everyone should have the ability to believe that the impossible can happen. For us, there is always something that we can do, no matter how little the act, that will cause a ripple. And we can’t wait for you to join the ripple effect across Hampton Roads. We believe that every person matters. Every dream matters. We are out weekly in the heart of downtown Portsmouth, and doing whatever we can to remind people that they’re not forgotten, or left behind. From handing out sandwiches, to clothes, to something as simple as a monthly Adopt-A-Block where we go into a local community and remind them that they’re not forgotten, we are consistently persistent in reminding people that regardless of the chaos of life, there is good to be found.
