Please join us for our first annual NFL-Alumni Carolinas’ Celebrity Swing Classic on May 21 -22, 2017. We will have 26 celebrity athletes and over 100 golfers taking part in the Captains Choice tournament at River Run Country Club in Davidson, NC benefitting the Ada Jenkins Center.
The Center serves to empower their communities to break the cycle of poverty through the integration of health, education and human services by offering over 20 different programs under one roof. The Ada Jenkins Center is located in Davidson.
Format
- 26 Foursomes, plus a celebrity athlete in each group
- Total players 130
- Tournament Format
- 18 hole Modified Scramble – All players will tee off and the captain will select the best tee ball. Once the best tee shot is selected, all players will play from that location. This format is used on all shots until the ball is holed. The ball may be moved up to one club length from its original position no closer to the hole while maintaining its same conditions. Each players drive must be used twice during the 18 hole round. No hunt rule.
- Championship Shootout – The top 3 teams from the modified scramble will participate in an alternate shot shootout on the 18th hole. The team captain will determine the order of play for their respective teams. The teams must follow this order of play on all holes until a Champion is determined. Any deviation will result in disqualification. The final results will be based on the Gross scores
