Please join us for a presentation from George Prochaska, the Regional Commissioner for the US General Services Administration,

He will be giving an update on the up and coming programs with the GSA.

George has 39 years of Federal Government experience, which includes 14 years as a member of the Senior Executive Service. With an annual budget of over $35M and revenue of nearly $4B, he leads a team of 200 employees located in a five-state region.

**As always, be sure to bring cash for the raffle to help raise money for the scholarship foundation.

• February 21st – TSPE Engineers Week Awards Luncheon at the Plano Centre – 
  

  The 2018 TSPE Engineers Week Awards Luncheon is being held on February 21, 2018 at the Plano Event Center – Collinwood Ballroom.  This year we anticipate another record turnout and we need volunteers to help make sure the event goes smoothly! Please let me know if you or someone in your firm is available to help. This is a great opportunity for young engineers to get involved in a great event. The time commitment is from approximately 10:30 am until 12.  We will have a reserved table at the luncheon so volunteers are encouraged to eat and enjoy the event once their commitment is done.

Mentorship is core tenet of SAME and as we run to our 100-year anniversary our Post has decided to formalize a Mentor-Protege program. The program will kick off at our March meeting and run through the end of the year. Our Post is also providing $2,500 scholarships to graduating high school seniors and college students this year. We have not advertised this program broadly enough in the past, so I need your help putting the two attachments in the hands of every high school teacher, counselor, church, scout troop, etc. who you might know.  Applications are due May 4th. http://www.same.org/Dallas/Scholarships
