Who is Sunnybrook Next Generation (SNG)?

SNG supports the mission and goals of Sunnybrook Hospital by engaging a new generation of supporters through awareness initiatives, fundraising activities, and active participation in the community of Sunnybrook. We are 100% volunteers who are passionate about Sunnybrook, health care, and giving back to our community.

In 2019, we reached an amazing milestone of raising $1 million in donations, and the amount is growing! All funds directly support the hospital’s priority needs and donor-funded programs that are critical to reconciling gaps from government grants. Where do the proceeds go? What is the Garry Hurvitz Brain Sciences Centre?

Close to SNG’s heart, net proceeds for this event will be directed to the Garry Hurvitz Brain Sciences Centre, a new state-of-the-art facility that is the first of its kind in Canada. Unprecedented in the field of brain sciences, the centre is leading the way for revolutionary solutions to the most devastating brain disorders of our time, including: stroke, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, ALS, mood and anxiety disorders. Here, an interdisciplinary team of experts will be dedicated to providing patients with compassionate and leading-edge clinical care. It will be a global hub of innovation where we will be able to accelerate the discovery of the next generation of treatments, prevention and possible cures to the world’s most debilitating brain conditions.
