Bringing together San Franciscans from all corners of The City, the 2nd Annual Mission Rock Invitational aims to raise support for the San Francisco Firefighter’s Cancer Prevention Foundation. The SFFCPF strives to mitigate the chances of cancer becoming a reality for active and retired firefighters. Firefighting poses a multitude of risks, yet the men and women in our fire department continue to selflessly put themselves in harms way for the greater good. The fundraising efforts of the Mission Rock Invitational will contribute to continued research of cancer prevention, as well as directly supporting active and retired firefighters who are battling job related cancers. What will The Mission Rock Invitational entail?
On September 29, 2023, starting at 9 am, Mission Rock Resort Oyster Bar & Grill will be hosting a unique, memorable golf tournament. Golfers will find themselves on an elevated tee box from which they will attempt to land their shot on a floating green. Let the games begin! Foursomes will be eliminated or advanced based on the quality of their shots. All golf balls are specifically designed to float, and our team of kayakers will ensure that not a single golf ball goes un-fetched. Fun will be had, but in a responsible way that in no way impacts our environment.

General Attendees:
Those who are not participating in the golf tournament are encouraged to come join and watch the fun. There will be music, entertainment and a raffle. Food and drink will be available to purchase. When the tournament concludes, general attendees will be able to purchase balls to attempt a hole in one. In the event that there is a hole in one, there will be a memorable prize awarded to the golfer!
Dress code:
Golf attire (fun, wacky, groovy, classic, Happy Gilmore…you name it!)
General Admission: Early Bird Special : $40
* will be $50 at the door
