The Charity Carrousel 7th Annual Golf Tournament is September 16th. 

Join us this year for a unique “grand slam experience” at the Renditions Golf Course right outside of DC in Maryland.  Renditions features replicas of holes from major US Open and PGA Championship venues. (www.renditionsgolf.com) We have many repeat golfers who have played in most of the past 6 golf events.  The shotgun start is at 9:00AM. The Pro-Golf Clinic is at 8:15 AM. We offer a grill at the turn, an awards ceremony with a gourmet buffet dinner, live entertainment and outstanding prizes.  Our tournament exclusively features foursome golf passes, donated from golf courses throughout the region, for all foursomes registered to play in the tournament.  Every team is a winner! The “Silent Auction” has something for everyone, from autographed sports and entertainment memorabilia, to items, such as, a one-week vacation at a resort or hotels stays at the National Harbor.  Our sponsors include Wyndam Resorts, the Gaylord National, Entertainment Cruises, Budweiser, Hampton Inn Suites, The Westin, Mary Kay, and others. About the Mission:

 “The Charity Carrousel” is a 501c3 nonprofit volunteer supported organization.  Our mission is to generate resources and funding to fight against hunger and homelessness among children and families.  The mission encompasses many areas, however our focus over the last 6 years has been on feeding children and families.   We host this Annual Charity Carrousel Golf Tournament to fund our work.  Last year we distributed food baskets to 220 families of needy children in 13 public schools.  We work with the principals and counselors within the school to identify the families of children in their schools who need this support.  The groceries include canned goods, a large meat (turkey or roaster), fresh vegetables/fruit and treats. The major distribution is done in December, right before the children leave for the Christmas holiday.  These are the kids who get the free lunch and breakfast programs.  Our effort is to ensure these children have food in the home over the holidays.  The program has grown over the years as the proceeds from the golf tournament have grown. This year our goal is to increase the number of families we serve by 50%.   Your participation will help us serve more children and families.
