More Event Information
The Salvation Army of the Cape Fear golf tournament as our second largest fund raiser. This tournament has afforded The Salvation Army a computer lab with printers for the residents of the Center of Hope. It has raised funds to repair the washroom, shower, and hot water heater. Bicycles have been bought so that people can commute to their jobs. The proceeds have provided a college scholarship. But most importantly has allowed The Salvation Army to assist more families in the Cape Fear Area with payment of their utilities and rent preventing their homelessness.
The Golf Tournament takes place on October 5 at the exclusive Cape Fear Country Club. The tournament format is a 4-person team captain’s choice. There is a men’s and a women’s division. If a team is mixed they are to play in the men’s division. Each player will receive a swag bag and lunch with winners in each division receiving prizes. The tournament also includes a raffle and silent auction.
