The Cause:

The Gavalas Kolanko Foundation (GKF) was established
by Nicholas B. Gavalas and Dr. Ronald Kolanko in 1999.
The GKF assists students with physical disabilities with
their secondary educational costs, and increases support and
awareness of their needs. Since its inception, the GKF has
awarded 165 scholarships and raised more than $1 million
which has benefited Lowcountry students attending the
College of Charleston, Charleston Southern University, the
Citadel, Trident Technical College, the Medical University of
the South (MUSC), and the Art Institute of Charleston.
Proceeds from the golf tournament will directly
fund future scholarships.
