More Event Information

The Two Heads Open is the state championships for disc golf in Tasmania. This annual tournament brings out the best of the local disc golfers and attracts a contingent of interstate and international players.

Competitor information:
This is a two-day tournament played over three rounds of 18 holes, plus finals (9 holes). The format is singles stroke-play and competitors play in divisions suited to their playing experience and ability.

Tournament Classification:
Australian Disc Golf : A-Tier
Professional Disc Golf Association: C-Tier

Tournament entry fees
Open Division players: $100
Amateur divisions: $80
Junior divisions: $40
Saturday only, all divisions: $40
Lunch on both days is included, please let the Tournament staff know if you have any specific dietary requirements and we will try to cater to them.

Player registration:
Players are required to register for the tournament in advance.

TWO HEADS 2020 ACCOMMODATION OFFER

Some years back we booked two great houses down by the river that allowed players to simply walk to and from the tournament. Meant great parties and no need for a rental car!

We have booked them again this year (Friday & Saturday nights) but numbers are limited. The Saturday night player’s dinner by Chef Harvey is happening at the Derwent Retreat – outside weather permitting. In respect to players staying at this accommodation, festivities will wrap up by 9:30/10:00.
Costs for both properties are $60.00 per person per night – Priority for couples regarding Queen/Double beds – otherwise first in best dressed!

DERWENT RETREAT is a fully equipped house built in the late 70’s on a point near the yacht club and launching ramp in historic Austin’s Ferry – 2 minutes from Poimena Reserve. It has some of the best views on the river Derwent with a panorama stretching from Mt Wellington in the south to Mt Direction to the east and north to the Quoin and beyond.
This large modern property is fully furnished, has three bedrooms and two bathrooms and sleeps up to 9 with a configuration of a queen, double, two singles, two king single folding beds and a single folding bed. It has a fully equipped kitchen and laundry, barbecue, internet, TV, DVD, stereo etc.

DERWENT HIDEAWAY is a fully furnished architectural house built in the 50’s. It also has absolute waterfront on the Derwent river and is 2 minutes from Poimena Reserve.
Derwent Hideaway has three bedrooms which sleep up to 6 with a configuration of a queen, double, two singles, a folding sofa bed and a drawer bed in the lounge. The bathroom has a separate toilet and wash basin and there is a fully equipped brand-new kitchen and laundry.
